In math we are working on our Addition and Subtraction to 18 unit. Please continue to practice math facts at home with your child. We are also working on a unit called Data Analysis which is where we learn how to collect and sort information and create graphs. Mrs. Lueken, a volunteer, has been joining us for our math groups this month.
Mrs. Wilkie read us a few stories that are nominated for the Willow Award. Our class will get the chance to vote on our favourite to decide the winner once we have heard them all!
On Friday we worked on something we called The Great Cardboard Challenge. Students were encouraged to create something made out of cardboard. We had some interesting creations and the kids had a blast! Many made arcade games and they want to have an arcade in the classroom. We will be adding a writing component to the The Great Cardboard Challenge next week! Here are some snapshots of the process with some of the final projects. A few students are still working on their projects.
