February

We have had a great time with our Solids and Liquids unit. We wrapped up the unit with a trip to the Science Centre. Thank you to all of the parent volunteers that came to help. It was a quiet day at the Science Centre and it was nice to have it all to ourselves!!

We are getting ready for our trip to Boggy Creek. We have been talking about all of the different things we will see there including animal tracks and droppings! Thank you to those that have sent your permission slips back. We are also still looking for some parents to help with this trip. Please let me know if you can help out!

In grade 2 math we finished up our Addition and Subtraction to 18 unit. We are currently working on a Data Analysis unit.

We have another field trip planned on March 2nd. We are heading to the MacKenzie Art Gallery. Stay tuned for more details!

I hope you have a great weekend with your family!!

December Catch Up!

December was such a busy month that I didn't even blog. I do need to mention a few things from that month. Thank you so much to our homeroom parent, Jodi F, who organized our pizza special lunch day. The kids really enjoyed themselves and it was a real treat. Thank you to those parents that also came and helped out in our room that day.

Our class raised $300 for Santa's anonymous! Thank you to our other homeroom parent, Heather B, who took Nathan shopping for the toys on behalf of our class. The kids were excited to see that they can make a difference. I hope that they did lots chores for you!
