Last Blog Post

Thank you all for sharing your children with me this year!  We have had a fantastic year and you have been a fabulous group of parents.  Also, thank you for all of the end of the year treats, gifts, and kind words!

We had a busy last week.  Candy Cane Park, Lego Day, Massey Pool swim and the movie theatre.  With the exception of one injury, things went well and we had lots of fun.

Our Bricks 4 Kids workshop was a blast!  We made battery operated cars and raced them!

NEWS!
Some of you had TBA as your child's teacher next year.  I now have a name!  The grade 3 teacher will be Kelsey Mullen.  She is very excited to meet all of the kids in the fall.

June 16th - 20th

Today we had PJ day! We made forts with our blankets and read books with our flashlights. What a fun thing to do with our school friends!

We finished up our Genius Hour presentations this week.

We have a fun filled week ahead! I am looking forward to spending some quality time with your children who I absolutely adore.  I have been blessed with such an amazing group this year..both children and parents!  It has been a pleasure working with each and everyone of YOU!

June 9th - June 12th

Thank you to those families who submitted all of our field trip fees online.  It saves the office and myself a lot of time.

We have started our Genius Hour presentations this week.

Maggie taught us about polar bears. 

Avi taught us about the human body.

Isabelle taught us about ladybugs. 

 We worked on some paintings this week and we hope you enjoy them!

June 2nd - June 6th

Elder Byrd came to our classroom to show us some First Nation artifacts.

The grade 6's invited us to play some First Nation math games. What a fun hour for our class!

On Wednesday we had our last swimming lesson.  On our walk we spied a mama duck with her ducklings. Our class wanted to me take a picture to put on the blog.  After swimming we visited the library and enjoyed reading to self.

We were busy this week with the pancake breakfast.  We made some centre pieces for the tables.

Many of the students in our class came to help out at the breakfast.  Students helped set up, decorate, assist with the pancakes, sit at the donation table, and clean up!  Way to go grade 2's!
