March 17th - March 21st

This blog was written by Aidan and Isabelle H. (typed by Mrs. Sanchuck)

Mrs. Renwick came and taught us about STOP, THINK, PICK A PLAN which is about dealing with people problems.   We made our own poster.

We had fun making handprints for the front bulletin board.

We had fun graphing and eating Lucky Charms on St. Paddy's Day.  We were trying to find out how many marshmallows there were in one box.  The clovers had the most!  Classes from all over the world did the same project too!

We are learning about liquids and solids.  We got to make and eat ice cream!

We just finished the book The One And Only Ivan.  We made pictures about the story and are hanging them in the hall for other kids to see.  We are starting a new book called Rump and the guy is named after the rear end of a cow.  Don't ask questions because we just started the book.

Note from Mrs. Sanchuck: Rump: The True Story Of  Rumpelstiltskin is our new read aloud!  It is highly entertaining thus far!

Upcoming Dates:
Monday March 24th: Hug a Tree and Survive workshop in our class
Friday March 28th:
 ~Three - Way Conferences
~ Cookie Orders Due!

Here are a few pictures from last week that I forgot to post.  We were working on procedure writing and then we went outside to build snow sculptures.

March 10th - March 14th

This week we experimented with snow.  We tried to figure out who could melt their snow the fastest.  Ask your child how they melted their snow.

On Friday we went on our outdoor adventure to Boggy Creek.  Fred was our guide and he did a few science experiments with us.  We got to build a campfire and had lots of fun sliding down a hill.  Thank you to Isabelle's dad, Stuart, for helping us out.
