June 2nd - June 6th

Elder Byrd came to our classroom to show us some First Nation artifacts.

The grade 6's invited us to play some First Nation math games. What a fun hour for our class!

On Wednesday we had our last swimming lesson.  On our walk we spied a mama duck with her ducklings. Our class wanted to me take a picture to put on the blog.  After swimming we visited the library and enjoyed reading to self.

We were busy this week with the pancake breakfast.  We made some centre pieces for the tables.

Many of the students in our class came to help out at the breakfast.  Students helped set up, decorate, assist with the pancakes, sit at the donation table, and clean up!  Way to go grade 2's!

Thursday June 12th: ALL field trip money due!  Menchies orders due.
Friday June 13th: NO SCHOOL (PD Day)
Wednesday June 18th : Swimming at Massey Pool (1-2)
Thursday June 19th: Menchie's Day and Cool Day (wear summer attire, hats and shades)
Tuesday June 24th: Bricks 4 Kids Workshop & Lego Day! (students can bring Lego from home)
Wednesday June 25th: Swimming at Massey Pool from 1-3.
Thursday June 26th: Movie Field Trip!  Last day of school.  2:30 Dismissal
