We wrapped up our Nutrition unit by displaying our poster boards.  Students became the experts and were excited to share their learning with their classmates.

We kicked off our Motion unit by talking about Bike Safety.  We watched a Bill Nye bike safety movie and then made posters.  We held a classroom poster contest.  After we voted we had a tie for first place and a tie for second place.

We were treated to a Hansel and Gretel opera performance this week. This was a first time experience for many of our students.

We will be starting a unit on Geometry soon.  Please look around your home and find some 3D objects to send to school with your child.  The objects were are looking for are cubes, cones, spheres, cylinders, pyramids and rectangular prisms.

• May 26th - We are having a Seed Survivor Presentation come to our school and I am looking for a parent volunteer to come in and assist our class during this time.  It will be from 2:20 -3:00. Please let me know if you are able to help out at this time.

• June 3rd - Mary Poppins Globe Theatre (everyone needs to bring a lunch on this day)
• June 5th -  Students are working on a book report at school and will need to dress up like their character on this day.  We will choose our books next week.

• June 16th - Swimming at Massey Pool (1-2)
• June 19th - Candy Cane Park and Swimming at Massey Pool (2-3)
• June 24th - Swimming at Regent Pool (1-2)
• June 25th - Movie Trip to the Galaxy Cinema.  Last day of school.  Early dismissal at 2:30.
