September 17th - 21st

This week we have been busy building our reading and writing stamina!  For Read to Self we are at 15 minutes and we are at 7 minutes for Work On Writing.  We have been brainstorming many things to write about in grade 2.  Talk with your child about some ideas at home!

On Tuesday we went on a animal hunt.  We walked around the lake with our clipboards and we recorded all of the animals we saw.  Many students counted over 80 birds!

On Thursday we went on another walk to collect leaves and we made some unique animal creations.  Check out these pictures!

In math we are still working on patterns. Check out our name patterns!

September 27th: We will be going on a Terry Fox walk today
SAVE THE DATE!  On October 2nd we will be celebrating Mr.MacKenzie's 85th birthday.  The SCC is going to put on a pancake breakfast and we will be having a school assembly at 9:05.  More info to come!
