October 20th - October 24th

This week we have two guest bloggers.  This blog post was written by Danielle and Breanna (typed by Mrs. Sanchuck).

We have been working on goals.  Our teacher has been teaching us how to make goals and every week we will do them.  People are working on math goals, behaviour goals, and reading and writing goals.  It is important to have goals because they help you stay focused.

We've learned how to draw pigeons like the pigeon from the books by Mo Willems .  After we drew them we painted them.  They turned out great.

We are making our own pigeon books.  Some kids are working with a partner and some are working all by themselves.  They are great so far.  We have not seen everybody's yet.

In math we have been working on numbers to 100.  We have three math groups. One is called Roughriders 26, one is called Too Cool For School and one is called Cool Kids.   We have been using ten rods to build numbers.  Sometimes we work by ourselves and this is called MOMO.  MOMO stands for Math On My Own.

We are using wikisticks in wordwork to practice spelling words.  This is hard because it's hard! We will keep practicing every day!

We had a bake sale on Thursday.  There were lots of yummy and fabulous treats.   There were cookies and cupcakes.

Thank you to Danielle and Breanna for writing this blog post!  Stay tuned for more guest bloggers.
