October 27th - October 31st

This week we had some Regina firefighters come to our school to teach us about what to do if there was a fire in our house.  Students pretended to be sleeping while the firefighters turned on the fire alarm.  Students then crawled through a tunnel and met at a meeting place.  The students practiced calling 911 as well.  It was a great interactive learning experience.

On Thursday we had a Halloween integration day.  Students rotated through ten different stations including Hovering UFOs, Monster Drool, Witch Toss, and Mummy Wrap.  It was a busy and fun-filled afternoon!!

Some of our class have finished their pigeon books.  Everyone is excited to read their published piece to the class.  They did a fabulous job!

Our class met Stellaluna this week.  Ask your child to tell you her story.  We made a Venn diagram and compared the differences and similarities between bats and birds.
